New Private Home Sales Surged in May
Hot from the press, private home sales increased by almost 30 per cent in May 2019, as compared with April.
The general comments is that property hunters are now spoilt for choice given that they were able to choose the increased number of new launches in May. Other comments include the possibility that developers might have to review prices to attract more buyers in view of the growing stockpile of unsold units from earlier new launches, thus creating what they called a classic buyers market situation,
Reference info released by URA on 17 June, out of 1394 new private residential units launched in May, 952 were sold. The month of April only saw 444 units sold out of 735 units launched. Do note that the figures do not include Executive Condominiums.
We are pleased to update that Amber Park was the best selling new launch for the month of May, garnering an eye popping 155 units sold out of the 160 units released. According to analysts, the impressive results were achieved as a result of a very reputable developer (City Developments) plus the fact of its freehold status which is widely preferred by buyers.
